On Wednesday, June 24, Billboard announced the iconic children's program will release a seven-track album titled Parody Party next month featuring satirical versions of pop songs performed by Sesame Street characters.

Alongside the album announcement came the release of Cookie Monster's "Take a Bite," which reworks Bruno Mars' recent No. 1 hit "I Just Might" with lyrics about his favorite treat — cookies.

"Hey, Mr. Baker! Oooooh! / We can’t resist that buttery flavor! / If cookie tastes as good as it looks right now," sings the sugar-loving character. "Me will take a bite, a big bite! / Me not going to wait, me gobble up entire plate, hey!"

The song arrived with a music video that features several versions of Cookie Monster performing the song in a studio space that mimics Mars' original music video for "I Just Might."

Parody Party is set for a Friday, July 26 release via Warner Music's Arts Music.

In addition to "Take a Bite," the album will feature several brand-new song parodies: a version of RAYE's "Where Is My Husband!" by Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster and Elmo titled "Where Is My Lovie?" as well as Abby, Zoe and Rosita's friendship-focused take on "Golden" from KPop Demon Hunters called "Go for the Gold," plus Elmo, Cookie Monster and Abby's potty-training anthem rendition of Chappell Roan's "Hot to Go!" remade as "Got to Go."

Several previously released Sesame Street song parodies will also be on the tracklist: Cookie Monster's version of Icona Pop and Charli xcx's "I Love It" about practicing restraint (when it comes to cookies) called "Me Want It, But Me Wait," plus the same beloved blue character's take on Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe" about sharing titled "Share It Maybe" as well as Oscar the Grouch's recycling-focused rendition of Taylor Swift's "Shake It Off."

Perhaps some of the original artists will share their reactions to the Sesame Street parodies of their songs following the album's release. Earlier this month, Noah Kahan commented via social media on the Kidz Bop kids' cover of his song "The Great Divide" — and the kid-friendly lyrical changes made.
