Dolly Parton’s hotel and museum has revealed its opening date!

The SongTeller Hotel and Dolly’s Life of Many Colors Museum will have a joint grand opening on Sept. 29 in Nashville, according to a press release. The hotel was originally set to open in June but its debut was delayed

The hotel and museum’s arrival follows Parton’s death at 80 on Aug. 25 after a “brief battle with cancer,” as previously reported by PEOPLE.

The hotel, created in partnership with Parton and the entertainment company Herschend, will have 245 unique guest rooms and suites, two entertainment venues and a café.

The hotel will be home to two venues — Jolene’s on the top floor and Parton’s live on the second — that will serve food and specialty drinks.

The museum will take over the hotel’s third floor and offer an “immersive journey through Dolly’s life, music and legacy, bringing personal stories and rarely seen pieces of her collection together through interactive exhibits and thoughtfully curated experiences.”

“Utilizing the latest technology, and filmed earlier this year, Dolly herself will guide guests through her life story,” the press release teases.

The museum will feature a recreation of the small cabin Parton grew up in and a gift shop.

Guest reservations for the hotel will begin Sept. 14. Starting then, there will be a lineup of performances and programming. Parton’s cousin Richie Owens will perform Sept. 16 at Parton’s Live, while Parton’s niece Jada Star will launch her artist residency at the hotel on Sept. 17.

The SongTeller Hotel will partner with FEMcountry to highlight women in music.

Meanwhile, tickets for the museum will be available for purchase starting Sept. 20.

Parton previously shared her excitement for the venture, saying in a press release, “This museum is a place where folks can see my journey through my own eyes — every color, every story and every dream that brought me here. I can’t wait to welcome visitors from around the world to Nashville to share in my life of many colors.”

Ticketing information can be found on the SongTeller Hotel website and the Life of Many Colors museum website.
