Mean comments are so yesterday.

Hilary Duff is currently taking The Lucky Me Tour across the U.S., which means that she's hitting the stage in outfits that she knows are pretty fabulous. However, not everyone has had nice comments to say about her wardrobe, which led one fan to come to the defense of the singer.

On Instagram, a concertgoer posted clips from one of Duff's concerts in response to a critic who wrote "Hilary Duff obviously didn't spend any money on her wardrobe. Wearing sweatpants?"

In Duff's defense, the fan wrote, "Actually she's a baddie that did 5 quick outfit changes during her performance."

Their compilation included the "So Yesterday" singer subtly switching up her outfits, including a slip dress over jeans she then transformed into another outfit with a fringe crop top. Another video shows the star wearing a satiny white dress and a sequin halter top.

Duff, 38, appeared to react by liking the post.

The Lucky Me Tour kicked off on June 22 in West Palm Beach, Fla. following Duff's mini tour, Small Rooms, Big Nerves, which featured throwback hits, such as "Why Not" and "Come Clean," as well as tracks from her February 2026 album Luck… or Something. Her current shows are scheduled to continue into next year with her last performance being held in Zapopan, Mexico on Feb. 15, 2027.

Speaking with PEOPLE in April, Duff was excited to connect with fans on a bigger scale. "There is something so sweet about getting to see everyone's face, and being so intimate and close with everyone — and it was really a great way for me to start and build confidence — but I just feel like I know what I'm doing and kind of got my reps in," she said.

Aside from reuniting with fans at her concerts, Duff hit another big career milestone back in May when she was named a 2026 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit cover.

The Disney Channel alum was among the four cover stars (also including Alix Earle, Tiffany Haddish and Nicole Williams English) gracing the annual issue, on which she wore a plunging one-piece.

During an appearance on Kylie Kelce's Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce podcast, she opened up about how she was intentional about the bathing suits she wore for the iconic gig.

“It was great to have conversations with them,” Duff recalled of the cover shoot experience, “and be like, ‘Hey, I'm not going to wear a bikini. I have had four kids. I feel comfortable showing this. I feel comfortable showing this. I don't feel comfortable showing this.' And they were like, ‘Got it. Got it. Got it.'”

“There's so much power in that,” the mom of four added. “I am so proud of my body.”

Duff added that when she got the call about the shoot, she wasn't immediately enthusiastic.

“My first reaction wasn't like, ‘Oh my God! Yes, I'll do it. My first reaction was like, ‘S—. I thought I'd get in, like, rip-roarin' shape.' And I'm also, I'm not a model. I'm 5'2”, had four kids… It scared me,” Duff said, then added, "At this stage in my life, I feel really proud of myself.”
