With a packed travel calendar this summer — six trips, to be exact — I’m already putting together a mental inventory of outfits. Although I tend to rotate the same pieces with the occasional new find, this season I’m committed to refreshing my vacation clothes and focusing more on quality pieces actually worthy of a place in my suitcase.
To decide what makes the cut, I’m browsing Quince’s vacation shop, which is full of wearable, getaway-friendly pieces made from quality fabrics and designed to withstand frequent wear. Here’s what I’m eyeing as my summer plans begin to take shape — starting at just $16.
European Linen Sleeveless Swing Dress
$64 at Quince.com
This little linen dress will quickly become a vacation MVP. It’s structured enough to feel polished, but casual enough for laid-back activities. One reviewer noted that it’s “playful enough for day,” and still “super cute for dinner.” Subtle pin tucking and shell buttons add fun details, and I love the swingy, carefree silhouette (and pockets!).
Organic Cotton Poplin Tiered Maxi Skirt
$60 at Quince.com
I already want to live in this skirt. It’s made from breezy organic cotton poplin, so it has a bit of structure without feeling too stuffy, and a wide elastic waistband and pockets add all-day comfort and convenience. Shoppers love how easy it is to wear, with one noting that they can “dress it up or slip it over a bathing suit.” It’s hard to beat that kind of versatility, especially on vacation.
Organic Cotton Boxy V-Neck Tee
$16 at Quince.com
Plain tees don’t usually require too much thought, but the cut and fabric can actually make a big difference. This one is made from substantial organic cotton, with a cropped fit and a clean V-neckline that won’t stretch out, per shoppers. One even said it “looks like it’s been tailored.” It’s adaptable enough to wear year-round — with maxi skirts and linen pants during summer, and with jeans and joggers when it cools down.
European Linen Wide-Leg Pants
$42 at Quince.com
The issue with many linen pants is that they’re too sheer. But if you’re looking for a pair that you can wear beyond the beach, these fit the bill. With over 11,000 reviews backing them up, shoppers say the fabric isn’t see-through, and the fit is as easy and light as a pair of pajamas. “I bought them for a beach vacation and they did not disappoint,” one person said. And they flow nicely, making them a fitting choice for long walking tours and sit-down dinners alike.
