There's no place like home for Jennifer Garner!

The 13 Going on 30 star, 54, opened up about her lush garden that's inspired by fond memories of her West Virginia childhood in Better Homes & Gardens' July/August 2026 cover story.

Located in her outdoor oasis are a number of blossoming fruit trees, which she says are currently “going off,” including plums, peaches, cherries and apricots. One of the reasons why the serene space — where she also grows her own potatoes, eggplants, sugar snap peas and tomatoes — gives her so much joy is because she loves to also share it with others.

“If I'm really home all day, I am cooking for people,” she told the outlet, adding, “Because that's what everyone wants.”

Garner — who shares children Violet, 20, Fin, 17, and Sam, 14, with ex-husband Ben Affleck — added that it's hard to choose a favorite room in her L.A. home, noting that she designed it so groups can easily gather from space to space.

“My house is very ‘sit-able' and cozy,” she says. “I built this house, and each area is like its own little conversation area. I can have a big gathering, but even those [spaces] have a little window seat or a way to tuck away. It's interesting to see how groups migrate from one spot to another.”

The star previously opened the doors to her home in a September 2024 video tour for Architectural Digest, during which she shared how “proud” she was of the house she created.

“I've never built anything all by myself before and I'm so proud of it. I am filled with gratitude every time I walk into my house. That I get to live here, that I'm so lucky to have my kids here,” she explained.

She noted how initially, she was trying to find the perfect home for her that already existed. However, she quickly discovered she'd need to create something “from scratch.”

“I realized that I was going to need to move out of a dream house kind of scenario. I looked and looked for a house to move into, but I needed privacy, and any house that had privacy was more grand than I felt comfortable in,” she told AD at the time.

“I was frustrated, but finally said, ‘Okay, I think I'm going to have to build,' and found this lot,” she added.

Being a longtime lover of farming, Garner noted that one of the spots at her house that she "loves so much" is the “little orchard” in her outdoor space, which is also outfitted with an alternative clover lawn.
