Johnny Knoxville reveals which Jackass movie takes the No. 1 spot, in his opinion.

The actor-filmmaker, 55, spoke about the film franchise ahead of the final and fifth movie, Jackass 5, which premiered on June 26. While chatting with Nick Kroll for Interview magazine, Knoxville shared that his favorite is the second movie, Jackass Number Two, which premiered in 2006.

"I think that second movie — when everyone was on their absolute worst behavior — is our best film," he said.

While Knoxville acknowledged that they're "all special," he said that "everyone points to that one as our best."

Jackass debuted on MTV as a TV show in 2000, with the first movie coming out two years later.

"The ideas didn't come to me as freely on the TV show, but now I can't turn them off. Our unshot idea list is at least 500 strong," he said.

Knoxville shared that while filming the second movie, Jeff Tremaine caught him and Spike Jonze pranking people even when they weren't filming. "Jeff was like, 'You guys shoot a f—ing movie like a pickup basketball game,' " he recalled.

He also noted that his work ethic for that second film contributes to why he thinks it's one of the best. "I was the first one on set, first one in the office, last one to leave," he said. "They had to have an intervention to make me stop shooting, because I really didn't want to."

"I had a cameraman with me on the weekend, and I was literally running into stop signs because I couldn't stop," he said, later adding, "I didn't want to stop for anything. "

Ahead of Knoxville's conversation, he told Rolling Stone in February that the final movie "is the natural place to end” the franchise.

“So it's going to be absolutely awful," he jokingly said. He added that the new film “never was a good idea! It was just fun. You know how you have ideas that are terrible but are fun? This would be that.”

Still, while chatting with Kroll, the funnyman admitted that ending the decades-long franchise is bittersweet.

"I've been really emotional lately," he shared. "Trigger warning that I will probably cry during this interview."

"We've been together 26 years and are barely in show business outside of that," he added.

Knowing he has so many ideas that will never make it to the big screen has also been hard to accept.

"I was talking with Spike and Jeff about that yesterday. I teared up when I said I don't know what to do with all my ideas," Knoxville said.

However, he noted that "Spike pointed out that we don't have to make Jackass, but we can do other things together."

Jackass 5 is in theaters now.
