A couple has named their baby after one of the Jonas Brothers after not one, but two major relationship milestones took place at their concerts.
In an interview with TODAY.com published on Tuesday, May 19, Brazilian influencer Patricia Leda told the outlet that “the Jonas Brothers have a special place in our heart, in all our stories of our family.”
Leda and her fiancé, Lucas Carvalho, got engaged in August 2023 and celebrated at the Jonas Brothers concert in New York City. Two years later, the couple — who bought tickets before they knew they were expecting — attended the Greetings from Your Hometown tour in New Jersey, where the "Love Me to Heaven" singers helped reveal the sex of their baby during the show.
As soon as Leda learned she was pregnant, she told Carvalho, "I want the gender reveal to be in the Jonas Brothers concert."
She told TODAY that the reveal came to fruition after she shared the idea with her 263,000 followers on Instagram — many of whom tagged the Jonas Brothers in an attempt to get their attention.
It worked and caught the attention of the band's social media manager, who coordinated with the soon-to-be parents.
But Leda was still unsure if the reveal would happen. Even Carvalho urged them not to "create a lot of expectation, because it's difficult to work out.” But then, during the Aug. 10 show at MetLife Stadium, someone from the band's production located the couple and took them backstage. "She told us that the gender reveal would happen,” Leda told the outlet.

They were placed by the stage, and stood under a spotlight where Carvalho held a sign on behalf of Leda, which read, "I'm pregnant. Will U reveal my baby's gender?"
After the trio caught sight of the sign, Joe Jonas asked for the couple's envelope that revealed what they were having, then took a special request for a song.
Joe then announced, after a long pause, that they were having a boy, and the concert venue lit up with blue lights to celebrate the reveal. “While it was happening, it felt like it was just me and her and the three JoBros talking with us,” Carvalho told the outlet.
Leda gave birth in January, but revealed in October 2025 that they were naming their son Joseph.

As for their decision to pay tribute to Joe, Leda explained that, because he announced the news, they researched the meaning of his name and realized they liked it "a lot.”
“The meaning is ‘the one who brings joy,'" Leda told TODAY. "And our son was bringing us a lot of joy.”
"It was an unforgettable night for us, and we'll definitely tell our baby boy that he had the most special gender reveal ever," Leda wrote in her August 2025 Instagram caption.
Their celebrations with the Jonas Brothers continued more recently, when the parents attended the band's May 13 concert in São Paulo, Brazil. For the occasion, Leda sported a custom shirt with her baby boy's face, with the text "Baby Joe. Jonas Brothers #1 Fan."

With her previous luck, she posted another Instagram attempt to connect with the band. “We would truly love the chance to meet you and thank you for being part of one of the most unforgettable moments of our lives and our baby boy's story," her Instagram caption read. "After that very special night, the name Joseph ended up gaining an even more special meaning for us and it became the name we chose for our son 🩵."

One of the concert's sponsors, Santander Bank, saw the post and, with Carvalho, facilitated a surprise meet-and-greet for Leda and the band. “I was crying and all my makeup was gone,” Leda told TODAY.
“It was such a special moment. I was so happy and it was like full circle: we had the gender reveal and now we get to meet them," she said, before adding, "I am throwing it out to the universe that when my baby is older we will get to introduce him!”
Leda also said her dream would be to have the band sing at her and Carvalho's wedding.
