Josh Peck is opening up about one "mistake" from his nuptials.

The actor, 39, married Paige O'Brien, 35, in June 2017 in Malibu, California. While chatting about Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce's highly anticipated wedding on his Good Guys podcast on May 7, Peck reflected on his own big day and admitted that he wished he had handled his guest list differently.

Peck said that if he were to resend his wedding invitations today, some people who originally attended would now be excluded because he either dislikes them or is no longer close with them. He told cohost Ben Soffer that he should have prioritized family over "rando friends" because those are the people who remain in life "in some capacity."

"I made this mistake," he said. "Like, I have some cousins that I didn't invite just because there was a time when our families weren't close enough, which is really a shame because they should have been there as opposed to some rando friends who I was close with at the time."

Peck, who shares three children with O'Brien, continued, "People have big families. You have 20, 30 cousins. You have things like this, and you're like, 'Ah, we barely talk.' Lean on that as opposed to whatever the the flavor of the year is in your friend group. But dude, I have groomsmen I wouldn't invite now. Like, it's crazy. And Paige too, and she's much more emotionally normal than me. She's like, 'Yeah, there's like a handful of people that would make no sense to be at our wedding today that was there seven years ago.' "

Last year, Peck explained why he excluded certain people from his wedding. He didn’t invite any Drake & Josh cast members to his wedding, except for the show’s creator, Dan Schneider.

“You know I think about my wedding and the only person from the show that was there was Dan because my mom was friends with his wife. Thanks, Mom," he shared on Good Guys on March 27, 2025.

Nickelodeon cut ties with Schneider in March 2018 after reports of his alleged abusive behavior on set. Schneider has denied allegations of wrongdoing.

Speaking about his reasons for not inviting his former Nickelodeon costars, including his onscreen stepbrother Drake Bell and his onscreen stepsister Miranda Cosgrove, to his wedding, Peck said, “It’s not an indictment of one particular person.”

“There’s so many people that I probably would, now at 38, wanted to be there,” he continued. “But at 30, I just wanted to leave it all behind because it felt like it didn’t serve me anymore.”
