Madison Beer is opening up about her engagement to her fiancé, Justin Herbert.
The “Bittersweet” singer, 27, reflected on the Los Angeles Chargers quarterback’s romantic proposal and shared details of her diamond ring during a recent Twitch livestream.
The couple announced their engagement in a joint post on Instagram on Tuesday, July 28. “Meet my fiancé,” Beer captioned a series of photos and clips of the romantic outdoor proposal. On Twitch, the bride-to-be revealed that the proposal actually took place two days earlier on the first anniversary of them making their relationship “official.”
“So last July 26, he asked me to be his girlfriend and this one he asked me to be his wife,” Beer shared, per a screen-recording posted by a fan on TikTok. “Very cute. My heart can’t take it. Honestly, it makes me want to cry whenever I talk about it. But it was on our one-year of being official. We had been together, obviously, before he asked me to be his girlfriend, but it was on our official one-year anniversary.”

For Beer, the engagement was “magical.”
“It was amazing. I don’t really know what to say other than I’m really, really excited and I feel really lucky to be marrying such an incredible person, and I can’t believe it,” she gushed of Herbert, 28, per a screen-recording posted by a fan on TikTok.
She continued, “I have dreamed of, you know, finding a love like… this is crazy, I can’t talk about this while playing this game. Yeah, I don’t know, I just feel very, very lucky. And that’s all I really can say. I’m just excited and very happy.”
Beer encouraged her fans to not give up on love.
“I encourage every single person to find someone that they feel this way about because that’s what you deserve. That’s what everyone deserves,” she said. “And, yeah, it’s out there for everyone. I firmly believe that.”

In another clip, Beer shared details about her engagement ring, which wedding jewelry experts and designers previously predicted to PEOPLE cost upward of $1 million, although a ballpark estimate also lies in the $500,000 to $640,000 range.
“My ring is an antique elongated cushion,” she said. “It is a cushion, so it has rounded edges, and I love it very much. And I love that it’s an antique.”

During Chargers Training Camp, Herbert shared that his engagement is everything he’s “always dreamed” about.
“It’s hard to explain. It’s been so incredible,” he told SiriusXM NFL Radio. “She’s changed my life, and it’s something I never thought was possible. It’s so awesome to find your person and to be able to spend your life with them. I’m excited and just can’t wait. She’s the best.”
He continued, “It’s what I’ve always dreamed of. And to have someone that I can share everything with and live with and trust completely, there’s no better feeling.”
