As my 30th birthday rapidly approaches, I’ve become increasingly aware of how important daily sun protection is for preventing skin damage and fine lines. As such, I’ve been prioritizing sunscreen in my daily skincare and makeup routine.
My current favorite is the Naked Sundays CabanaClear SPF 50 Gel Serum, which I first discovered after seeing the brand used on Hilary Duff multiple times. Although I don’t see myself switching from the hyaluronic-infused product any time soon, I still have the utmost respect for many others on the market. Shop more mom-approved and celeb-used sunscreens below for as little as $8.

Not only does this sun-protectant serum feel ultra-lightweight, but it doesn’t feel oily or leave me with a white cast. I use it as the last step in my skincare routine before I apply my makeup primer because it never pills. Remember! Shake the container before pumping out the product.
If a tinted moisturizer with SPF is more your vibe, I’ve seen both Reese Witherspoon and Mandy Moore in the brand’s BeautyScreen Peptide Foundation Tint.

This Laura Bush Hager pool essential is also one of my mom’s must-haves for long days in the garden. Specifically, my mom appreciates its clear, matte finish, because she can reapply quickly without having to worry about streaks or a white cast. One shopper praised how it acts as a “blurring primer” under makeup, while another added it feels like “silk on your skin.”
Alastin HydraTint Pro Mineral Sunscreen SPF 36

In a Vogue Beauty Secret’s video from January, Martha Stewart divulged that her sun protection of choice is this $84 product. She mixes the tinted sunscreen with an antioxidant serum and L’Oréal’s True Match Lumi Glotion to create an ultra-luminous base. According to a repeat buyer, it “evens out my skin in a very natural way without looking cakey or clogging my pores.”
