Anne Hathaway is having quite a year — both personally and professionally.
The actress, 43, is pregnant and expecting her third baby with husband Adam Shulman, and she is on track to release five movies in 2026.
“I’m excited. This is very, very fun. It’s extremely surreal,” Hathaway told PEOPLE while attending a premiere of The Odyssey in London on July 6.
“But I’m at an age and a moment in my career where I know stuff like this doesn’t come around very often, and certainly doesn’t last forever,” she continued.
Added Hathaway: “So I’m just gonna surf this wave for as long as it lasts, I’m going to enjoy being on my board, and then when I fall in the water — that’ll be that moment.”

Hathaway’s first film of 2026 was Mother Mary, which was released in theaters in April. The Devil Wears Prada 2, the long-awaited sequel to the 2006 original, followed in May.
Now, Hathaway’s latest film, The Odyssey, has just hit theaters. An adaptation of Homer’s ancient Greek poem of the same name, Hathaway stars as Penelope, the wife of Odysseus, played by Matt Damon.
Next up, Hathaway’s The End of Oak Street will be released on Aug. 14, and Verity will follow on Oct. 2.
Hathaway, who recently covered PEOPLE’s 2026 World’s Most Beautiful issue, announced in June that she and Shulman, 45, are expecting their third child together.
In a video shared on Instagram, the actress, wearing a flowy white dress, walked into frame with her arms in front of her stomach as the song “Baby I’m Yours” by Barbara Lewis played.
Hathaway and Shulman, who wed in 2012, are already parents to sons Jonathan, 10, and Jack, 6.

A source recently told PEOPLE that Hathaway is “focused on family” as she gears up to become a mom of three.
“She’s grateful for where she is in her career,” the insider continued of the Princess Diaries alum. “Complaining just isn’t Anne. She approaches things with gratitude and professionalism.”
“Right now, she’s focused on family and enjoying a little downtime,” added the source.
