Samara Weaving is a girl mom!
During an interview with PEOPLE in 10, the Ready or Not 2: Here I Come actress, 34, confirmed she welcomed a baby girl while opening up about her birth experience and first few months as a mom. Weaving, who welcomed her daughter with husband Jimmy Warden, shared that she was more focused on having her newborn than having the perfect birth experience.
"I really just listened to my doctors and nurses," she tells PEOPLE. "I followed my instincts, but at the end of the day, I was like whatever [her doctor] wants to do, I will do."
The actress also shared how her pets at home have taken to the new addition at home.
"The cat doesn't really know what's going on," she says. "They haven't, like, peed on her or done anything too aggressive. They seem to be ok. They seem to be alright. I can't wait for them all to become best friends, though."

Last month, after Weaving stepped out at the SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations Presents "Carolina Caroline" event at the Meryl Streep Center for Performing Artists in Los Angeles, PEOPLE confirmed that the actress had welcomed her little one. The first-time mom was pictured in a cream vest with gold buttons, black striped pants and red pumps.
While speaking with PEOPLE for the exclusive interview, the new mom shares how she's balancing her career with motherhood.
"You know a lot of women have paved the way for me to be able to do that," she says. "I watched my mom do it, and it was so nice having her with me when the baby was first born, and such a bonding experience. Whatever you want to do, whatever kind of mom you want to be, I support them all. Hats off to you."
The newly minted mom first shared that she was expecting her first baby with her husband on Instagram back in December. Weaving posted a carousel of photos on her social media, including snaps of her wearing a mesh lace shirt.
She also added a photo of herself getting ready with her hair up and eye masks on. Weaving was pictured in a bathrobe that was open and showed her baby bump.
"Ready or Not: Here I Come 😏," the star cheekily wrote in her caption.

During her pregnancy, she leaned on all her closest “girls,” including her Babylon costar Margot Robbie. Speaking to PEOPLE in an exclusive conversation during the Clarins Night of Extra red carpet event in Los Angeles on March 20, Weaving opened up about how her friends have been super supportive as she prepared to welcome her first baby.
"Oh my gosh, all my girls here who are moms have just been so lovely, and I think what they all tell me is just, ‘You do it your way. Whatever makes you feel comfortable,’ ” she said of their pregnancy and parenting advice.
"I think our society, there's so many voices and opinions, and that it's tough for women, especially when they're pregnant and being a mom," she added. "So they're all just so supportive of, whatever I want to do is good."
