I’ve had my dog for 12 years, and there is still nothing I love more than seeing her curled up and snoozing, enjoying the life she deserves. With her age and arthritis, though, getting comfortable is more difficult. So, in addition to her veterinary care, I decided to upgrade her dog bed.

While she has always had a bed, they’ve been on the flimsier side, filled with lofty cotton or polyester and not designed to offer support. This one, on the other hand, helps dogs with joint issues, as it has a shredded foam fill that’s firm yet plush, providing ample support and comfort. Unlike her previous bed, it doesn’t crush or become thin with use. She’s been sleeping in it every day for two months, and it’s just as bouncy as the day I received it.
The cuddler style has also been a hit for her. Because I also have two cats, she likes to keep an eye on the house, often propping her head up to look around for her furry friends or see what her dad and I are doing. The walls are covered in a soft fleece and filled with a similar foam that’s sturdy yet comfortable for her to rest her head.
The bed’s shape helps with her occasional movement struggles, too. The front has a dip that serves as a makeshift doorway, allowing her easy access without needing to lift her back legs too high. Plus, because it’s large and circular, she has plenty of room to stretch her limbs.
I’m also not the only pet parent whose dog approves of the bed. Owners say their dog loves it so much that they have purchased three, one for each room, and another person’s dog “sleeps for hours” in theirs. A dog with arthritis “snuggles right in” and sleeps all day.
