  • After getting her mic back up and running, Grande joked with the crowd before continuing the show

Ariana Grande didn’t let an unexpected technical glitch derail her performance for the first Brooklyn stop on the Eternal Sunshine Tour.

While performing “Eternal Sunshine” at Barclays Center, the Grammy winner’s microphone suddenly cut out, prompting her to calmly gesture toward members of her team as they worked to fix the issue.

After finishing the song with the help of the audience—who never missed a beat singing along—the microphone came back on.

“Oh, it’s back now!” Grande said before quickly apologizing to the crowd.

“It’s back now, so sorry,” she told concertgoers before turning toward her crew and adding, “Thank you so much!”

Rather than dwelling on the mishap, Grande took a moment to recognize the people working behind the scenes to get the show back on track.

“Thank you to our amazing team who’s dealing with these technical difficulties,” she said. “And thank you for your patience.”

With the problem resolved, Grande turned her attention back to the audience.

“Okay, we’re back! Should we continue?” she asked, drawing loud cheers from the packed arena.

A few members of her crew then briefly joined her onstage to readjust her equipment before quietly stepping away, allowing the singer to seamlessly pick up where she left off.

As the opening notes of “Just Like Magic” began to play, Grande couldn’t resist checking in with fans one last time.

“Did you hear any of that?” she asked with a smile.

The brief interruption came during Grande’s Eternal Sunshine Tour, which marks her return to headlining arenas after several years spent balancing music with acting projects, including her role as Glinda in the film adaptation of Wicked.

The tour supports her seventh studio album, Eternal Sunshine, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 following its 2024 release. Fans attending the shows can also expect hits spanning Grande’s career, including songs from Positions, Dangerous Woman, My Everything and Thank U, Next.

Grande is also entering a new musical era. The 33-year-old recently announced her eighth studio album, Petal, which is scheduled for release on July 31.

She previously described the title as representing “something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging.”

Beyond music, Grande will next appear in Focker-in-Law, the latest installment of the Meet the Parents franchise, alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro. The film is slated to arrive in theaters on Nov. 25.
