Lewis Hamilton is kicking his fashion into high gear.
The professional race car driver is back on the track for the Formula 1 Italian Grand Prix in Monza, Italy, and he’s already making a hot statement with his wardrobe.
On Sept. 3, the 41-year-old was photographed arriving in a fiery Ferrari F40 and wearing a layered winter look despite the city’s 90-degree weather. For his entrance, Hamilton wore a black suit and tie with a long camel coat and hat, and the entire ensemble is leaving fans with questions.

In the comment section of F1’s Instagram post of Hamilton posing in the look, followers have not shied away from commenting their confusion, one writing, “There’s a lot of hot in Italy for using a coat…” On X, one fan joked, “Hope the F40 has AC onboard.”
Another pointed out that Hamilton’s outfit was intentional and a nod to the suit he wore to announce his deal with Ferrari that began in 2025 — and for some, that attention to detail paid off.
Among the quizzical reactions, Hamilton also received positive comments about his appearance, with one person writing on Instagram, “This is the aura farm [a slang term used to describe someone’s coolness according to Merriam-Webster] of the century. I’m afraid nothing comes close.”
Hamilton’s bold style has made him a fixture in fashion off the racetrack. In fact, he’s been attending the Met Gala since 2015, working his way up to the role of co-chair alongside Colman Domingo, A$AP Rocky, Pharrell Williams and Anna Wintour in 2025.

In honor of that year’s theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” Hamilton wore a custom cream suit and matching beret made by Wales Bonner in collaboration with him and his stylist Eric McNeal.

Hamilton told Vogue: “We’re both very thoughtful and intentional when it comes to fashion, and I hope that everyone else attending is compelled to really research and think deeply about what they’re wearing,” he said.
He’s also recently been embracing casual style for his date outings with Kim Kardashian, the two sharing plenty of moments this past summer as seen in photos shared to social media. On Aug. 18, he posted a PDA-packed snapshot of them clad in swimsuits on their getaway in Hawaii.
