“After going through IVF unsuccessfully for many years, we understand all too well the difficulties that many people experience when trying to conceive, and how seeing announcements can feel. Our hearts go out to you 🤍,” they wrote toward the end of their caption.
“That’s it for now, but don’t forget to check out our new video and blog! Find out how the pregnancy has been going and what we’ve been up to all summer!”
The couple, who tied the knot in September 2020, frequently post on YouTube and TikTok, often answering questions about their relationship and Shane’s spinal muscular atrophy diagnosis.
In March 2023, Hannah and Shane announced that they would be beginning their first round of IVF, sharing a video about their decision on YouTube. They said they would be bringing their viewers along on their journey over the next few months, which began back in October 2022 with a few rounds of testing.
That summer, the couple shared an update, saying that Shane had gotten his sperm tested again. They announced that the results were worse than when they had first tested in 2022, saying that they now had zero viable sperm.
“As if the IVF process wasn’t stressful enough, we got some bad news this week,” the couple captioned a post on Instagram. “We have a few days until our egg retrieval and are trying to remain hopeful that things will change, but right now we’re pretty disappointed.”
This past January, Hannah and Shane shared a video on their YouTube channel, revealing that they had decided to try having kids again. The two shared that they took a three-year break and were reembarking on their journey.
