She then included a slow-mo clip of her almost 2-year-old son Billy, who appeared to be flipping off the camera, at the end of the video. “mood cause we get text ‘CONNER L’ to 21523 next week,” she wrote over the clip.
“WE RIDE AT DAWN 🏇 @leavitt.conner @dancingwiththestars,” added Whitney in her caption.

The Chicago star’s video comes after several fans expressed frustration that Conner was cast on this season of Dancing with the Stars. “How is he a ‘star’?” one person wrote in the comments on Instagram announcing Conner on the show. “why is he even on?” said another.
On Sept. 7, Conner addressed the criticism by posting a TikTok of himself at dance rehearsals. “POV: you get cast on DWTS and find out ‘nepo husband’ doesn’t count as ‘star’…” he wrote over a video of himself texting.

Whitney also addressed the criticism in her own video shared to her TikTok. Featuring her kids dressed in matching “My Daddy Is on Dancing with the Stars” shirts, the three danced in front of their mom in the clip.
“when someone says our nepo daddy isn’t a star ⭐️,” Whitney wrote over the clip. “Yall are the reason I Nepo so hard 🤘🔥🖤 love you guys so much 🖤🥹,” Conner said in the comments.
Although this is Conner’s first time as part of the Dancing with the Stars cast, he isn’t new to the ballroom. During season 34, he joined Whitney and her partner Mark Ballas for a contemporary dance on Dedication Night.
Conner also recently starred in the off-Broadway show 11 to Midnight for a limited three-week engagement alongside Heather Morris and Nia Sioux. At the time, he told PEOPLE, “I can’t wait to learn some Cost n’ Mayor choreography and put my dancing skills to the test.”
