As a self-professed Greek mythology nerd, the upcoming debut of The Odyssey might become the highlight of my summer. To tide me over until July 17, I’ve been following each opening event mainly to catch yet another stunning look from Zendaya.
During the world premiere in London, the actress channeled her character Athena, the goddess of wisdom. To complement her fresh off-the-runway Schiaparelli gown, makeup artist Ernesto Casillas used all Charlotte Tilbury makeup to create a “bronzed, sun-kissed, and radiant complexion worthy of a glowing Greek goddess,” according to an Instagram post. Products in the lineup included the new skincare-packed highlighter and volumizing mascara that I’ve also seen on Cher and Kate Hudson.

Although Zendaya naturally looks like a real-life goddess, Casillas amplified the aesthetic with this highlighter stick. In his words, the product “added a beautiful glossy, glazed finish to Zendaya’s complexion.” This result can be attributed to its ultra-hydrating and glowing ingredients like hyaluronic acid, vitamin C, and vitamin E.

“I created light, mesmerizing eyes to echo the ethereal elegance of the dress,” Casillas divulged. This was done by blending two matte shades and one shimmering shade of the brand’s long-wearing eyeshadow sticks. I can testify to the budge-proof properties of the product myself, as my eye looks have survived many a balmy summer night.
Application Tip
To recreate Zendaya’s look, use the darker matte shades to cover the lid and define the outer corner. Then, highlight the inner corner of your eye with the glimmering shade.

One of the first details of Zendaya’s glam that I admired was her smooth and bright undereyes. Previously used on Kate Hudson, Emily Blunt, and Hilary Duff, the concealer neutralizes dark circles, while providing hydration via ingredients like hyaluronic acid and squalene.
